Can Window Glass be Recycled?

Window glass is made differently from other glass items, such as bottles. Windows are treated so that they can withstand the elements and objects that might hit it. Because of this, window glass has to either be broken down and thrown away, or donated to a reusing center — as long as it is in the right condition. Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity and Better Futures Minnesota both accept some windows in good condition. Check out their websites to learn more or contact us for any questions regarding your windows and window replacements.
